With four players getting into double digits, Roncalli’s perimeter shooting proved to be too much for the host Trojans. The Rebels went 9 for 13 on 3-point attempts with Lauren Fey and Amanda Prather combining to go 5 for 5. While things were tight through the first quarter, they opened up in the second when Roncalli outscored Chatard 19-8, with a flurry of those points coming in the final three minutes of the half. A 22-point third quarter all but sealed the deal for the interlopers. Alana Vinson led all scorers with 19 points. Amanda Prather and Ellie Bischoff added 14 each. Senior Lauren Fey also cracked double digits with 11. No stats from Chatard were available as of this posting.
With the victory, the Rebels end conference play at 3-1. They secured second place for the season (behind Heritage Christian). Bishop Chatard sits at 1-2 with a game against Brebeuf on the horizon. A victory over the Braves would land Chatard in third. A loss would mean a three-way tie with Chatard, Brebeuf, and Guerin Catholic.
