It was an electric evening on the south side. In front of a packed house, the Braves and Rebels met to decide the 2017-18 Circle City Conference championship. Although they were without junior Spencer Reist and his 13.9 points per game, Brebeuf jumped out to a 23-17 lead before the half. It looked as though the Braves were in a good spot, but the Rebels came storming back, regaining a one-point lead by the end of the third. Ultimately, tight defense and clutch shooting allowed Roncalli to build and hold a lead in the fourth. By a score of 53-46, the Rebels earned their first basketball conference title in school history.
