Brebeuf Jesuit – In a Circle City Conference match up, the Brebeuf Braves traveled to the Golden Eagles of Guerin for a boys varsity volleyball match. The first set was tightly contested, with neither team getting more than a 2 point advantage through the entire set. Neither team served particularly well, with multiple missed serves, that kept either team from managing to gain much momentum. Guerin had the first set point but was unable to convert. The Braves had the second set point at 25-24 and promptly served one into the net. Guerin won the next point for yet another chance to wrap the game up but missed their serve as well. The Braves finally managed to string 2 points together to close out the first set. The second set found Guerin holding anywhere from a 2-5 point advantage throughout most of the latter part of the set, which translated to yet another opportunity to win a set. David House managed to put a ball down to tie things up at 24-24 and finished with David serving the next two points and Kevin LeBlanc getting the set winning kill. The third set followed the script of the second set, with Guerin pulling ahead 1-2 points through the first half of the last set before the Braves managed to get the upper hand in the mid-teens. Guerin fought back and tied things up at 20 before the Braves got a 2 point cushion that they never relinquished, closing out the match 25-23 for the sweep.
