Covenant Christian – The Softball team (5-1-1) rebounded from their first loss of the season on Monday night to Tri-West HS, to pick up their first ever Circle City Conference win of the year on Tuesday, defeating Heritage Christian 15-5 in five innings.

CCHS was led offensively by Senior Bailey Everett, who hit a double, triple, and a home run to drive in four runs.  Sophomore Faith Perez also tallied three hits of Covenant’s 13 total hits on their way to the win.

The game started as a tight affair, with both teams tied at 4-4 after two innings.  CCHS blew it open after that, scoring three in the third, two in the fourth, and six in the fifth inning.

Sophomore Brooklyn Bond (3-0) picked up the win in the circle, pitching a complete game, giving up five runs on six hits, and struck out five Lady Eagles.
