Brebeuf Braves clinch second place

The Brebeuf Jesuit Braves dominated the hosting Roncalli Rebels in front of their Homecoming crowd.  The Rebels struck first, capitalizing on great field position granted via a shanked punt midway through the first quarter.  From that exact moment on, it was all Braves, all of the time.  Over the next 19 minutes, Brebeuf scored four times while holding the Rebels at bay.  Drake Hagerman was 11 of 17 for 302 yards and 4 touchdowns.  Gabe Wright had five of those receptions for 169 yards and three scores.  Wright also added an interception in the Roncalli end zone.  Jay Higgins led the way for the Braves defense with 6 unassisted tackles and 6 assists.

Brebeuf Jesuit finishes with a conference record of 2-1.  They will finish behind Bishop Chatard.  Guerin Catholic and Roncalli will face each other Week 9 to determine who finishes in third.
