The Girls Tennis team improved to 8-5 on the season, with a 5-0 win over Circle City Conference opponent Heritage Christian School.
Sophomore Hana Anderson picked up her 30th career victory with a 6-2, 6-0 win at #1 Singles. Junior Kyla Russell picked a 6-3, 6-1 win at #2 Singles, while Sophomore Becca Turner won #3 Singles 6-1, 7-5. Seniors Shelby Yates and Faith Egenolf took the #1 Doubles flight 6-3, 6-0, while Senior Leah Davidson and Junior Grace Flasher won #2 Doubles 6-4, 6-4, 6-3.
The Lady Warriors are back in action tonight at home as they host Arsenal Tech HS. CCHS will close out the regular season with the City Tournament this weekend, before beginning their sectional title defense at Ben Davis HS next week in sectional play. The draw for this weekend’s City Tournament should be released tomorrow.
