Brebeuf Jesuit – The Brebeuf Jesuit Softball Team lost to Bishop Chatard on Tuesday, 3-14. The loss moves Brebeuf to 3-5 on the season. Offensively, Chatard proved to be too much. The Trojans got on the board first in the 3rd inning and then pulled away in the 4th and 5th innings, recording 18 hits. All of Brebeuf’s runs came in the 4th inning. Gabby Davis started it with a lead off solo homerun to right field. Emoni Dix and Gillian Cookerly-Dietrich then both singled to left field. Dix scored on a wild pitch for the 2nd run of the inning. Caroline Caito then hit a double to right field, scoring Cookerly-Dietrich. The Braves recorded 6 hits for the game. In addition to Davis, Dix, Cookerly-Dietrich, and Caito, Ali Bowen and Sophie Weber also each a had a single.
