Recap
Brebeuf Jesuit – The Brebeuf Jesuit girls soccer team captured its third straight Circle City Conference championship Tuesday at home on Senior Night with a 4-0 shutout victory over Roncalli. The Braves have never lost a league game in the three-year old conference.
The Braves, 5-5-1 on the year, will entertain Zionsville on Monday at 7 PM on Varsity Field.
Braves senior captain Brianna Arthur had a very special “Senior Night” as she scored the first two goals of the game for the home squad. Arthur took a pass from fellow senior Alex Meltzer for the first goal just 18 minutes into the contest. Five minutes later Arthur scored again on a pass from junior Sophie Weeter.
Weeter scored on a pass from sophomore Courtney Kelley with 12 minutes left in the first half to give Brebeuf a 3-0 halftime edge. Weeter closed the scoring with the only goal of the second half with 8:55 remaining to play on a pass from senior Julia Alessandri.
Sophomore goalie Savannah McNeal recorded her third shutout of the season with three saves.
