Game Recap

It was a very special night for the No. 4 ranked Brebeuf girls soccer team on Tuesday at St. Vincent Health Field. The Braves honored their seniors and their parents with the annual “Senior Night” festivities and not only won their fifth straight game, but with the 2-1 victory over Roncalli, Brebeuf claimed the inaugural Circle City Conference championship for girls soccer.
Brebeuf is now 9-1-1 on the season and will be off until next Monday at home at 5:30 p.m. against Culver.
The Braves first goal came just five minutes into the game when junior defender Jordan Smith scored off a cross from senior Alia Martin. Brebeuf took a 2-0 advantage when junior Kayla Fitts scored from 25 yards out just 18 minutes before half. Roncalli, outshot by the Braves 10-1 on the night, scored its only goal with 15 minutes left in the game.
Senior Lauren Turner played the first half and junior Reni Osuntokun played the second half in goal for Brebeuf.
