Guerin Catholic Crowned Initial Girls Golf Conference Champions!!

The inaugural Circle City Conference Girls Golf Tournament took place Thursday, September 15th at Smock Golf Course on the south side. Due to the rain-out of the initially scheduled event, the girls only played nine holes and started in shotgun formation.
Guerin Catholic, coached by Mark Mathews, was crowned champion by shooting a 183 on the evening. Even without having the overall champion (or medalist) the Golden Eagles prevailed against tough competition in the Circle City Conference.
The medalist was Freshman Maggie Schaffer from Bishop Chatard High School. She shot a 40 for the round.
