The 2017-18 Circle City Conference officially kicked off tonight at Heritage Christian School when Guerin Catholic visited for the season’s first volleyball match.  This was also the first official conference event for HCS.  The Golden Eagles started off strong, jumping out to a 10-2 lead early in the first.  Heritage Christian would answer with a run of their own, closing the gap to 12-10.  It was a sneak peak of how the evening would unfold.  GCHS won the first match 25-17.  A similarly streaky second match also went to Guerin, 25-18.  The final match of the night saw HCS tie things up at 15-15 and then make an inspiring and entertaining run with their backs against the wall.  Eventually, Guerin Catholic was able to seal the final victory, 25-20.  It was an exciting and enjoyable night of volleyball.
