Braves Topple Titans on the Gridiron

Host Brebeuf was dominant in all three phases of the game while romping over Tech 37-0 to even their record to 1-1. The Braves defense stifled the Titans, holding them to 98 total yards and six first downs. Seniors Jacob Pressler and Derrick Ozobu were the stars on offense, with Pressler netting 11 receptions for 140 yards and two TDs. Ozobu, under pressure all night, threw for 212 yards on 17 for 29 attempts, adding 35 rushing yards, including a 19-yard TD run. Noah DeLumpa rushed for 95 yards on 12 carries, while sophomore Gabe Wright was electrifying in the return game, with 106 yards on three punt returns, including a 67-yard 3rd-quarter TD that put the game out of reach. Kicker Alex Potts was remained perfect for the season: 3-for-3 on field goals and 4-4 on PAT’s. Brebeuf travels to Marian University next Friday at 7:00 to take on the first of three 2016 State Champions on the Braves’ schedule: the 2A champ Ritter Raiders.
