The Golden Eagles returned to conference play vs Chatard Tuesday night following a long weekend off.
Play was in favor of GCWS the first half, with fans seeing the Golden Eagles unload 8 SOG. Senior co-captain got the scoring going in the 23′ off an assist from an Anna Heck corner kick. Sophomore Kenna Corley added to the first half tally 8′ later off an assist from freshman Quincy McMahon.
GCWS struck three times in the first 10′ of play to kick off the second period (Vuotto, Lindley, Mason). Vuotto added her third in the 58′ and McMahon added a last tally a minute later.
Goalkeepers Claire Gavin and Olivia Labus are credited with the shutout.
The victory moves the Golden Eagles to 3-1 in conference play on the season and secures second place behind Brebeuf Jesuit.  By virtue of having defeated earlier in the season, Bishop Chatard is guaranteed to finish third.
