Strong 2nd Half Ensures Guerin Victory

The host Brebeuf Braves kept things interesting through halftime of the first part of the girls/boys doubleheader against Guerin Catholic.  Gabby Godbout (8 pts), Nia-Hyatt Eldosougi (6 pts), and Caroline Hauser (5 pts) helped keep the Braves within four after two quarters.  After the break, it was all Golden Eagles.  The visitors tightened things down on the defensive end, allowing only 6 points in the second half.  On the offensive end, Nicole Cunningham (22 pts) and Sydney Geis (12 pts) ensured the Golden Eagles would emerge with a victory.  With the win, Guerin Catholic finishes conference play with a guarantee of finishing at least fourth.  Brebeuf falls to 0-3.  They will face Chatard on January 26th with a chance to force a three-way tie for the third position.
