Guerin and McGinnis bring home hardware

The Guerin Catholic Golden Eagles brought home their third consecutive conference championship last Saturday.  They dominated the competition, defeating second place Bishop Chatard by 50 strokes. Sophie McGinnis earned conference medalist honors after shooting a 73 at Pebble Brook Golf Club. Former conference champion Maggie Schaffer also shot a 73, but McGinnis earned the title on a tie-breaker. Freshman Yanah Rolston (Heritage Christian) finished in third (75) as did her team (two strokes behind Bishop Chatard). The All Conference team was rounded out by 2017 champion Angelica Pfefferkorn, her sister Christina Pfefferkorn, and McKayla Tallman (all from Guerin Catholic). Brebeuf Jesuit edged Roncalli by one stroke to finish fourth.
