Championship Weekend

A big weekend for the conference saw two different teams bring home state championships in lacrosse.

First, the Guerin Catholic girls lacrosse team won their second consecutive state championship after clinching the circle city conference championship with an undefeated 4-0 record in the conference. The Golden Eagles defeated Carmel 13-8.

On the boys’ side, we saw a rematch between the CCC champion Brebeuf Jesuit Braves and the runner-up Heritage Christian Eagles. After a thrilling regular season match that finished 8-7, these two were tied at half 5-5 before the Braves had a big third to pull away and win 13-7. This was the Braves’ first state championship in lacrosse.

This ended another strong season of lacrosse, but this year is far from over as teams continue to advance through other tournaments. Stay tuned here for more updates and as we will start to announce the all-conference teams this week.
