Boys Tennis – Fall of 2024

Bishop Chatard, coached by Molly Card Beckmann, won their first Boys Tennis Conference Championship by posting a 4-0 record against Conference competition! The Trojans defeated a shuffled Brebeuf Jesuit line-up on 9/3 which was the only loss the Braves experienced throughout the season. All Conference players chosen by the member school head coaches include:

Bishop Chatard – Casey Beckmann, Gavin Guffey & Matthew Haas

Brebeuf Jesuit – Will Hutchinson & Anthony Suscha

Guerin Catholic – Charlie Phillips

Roncalli – Chris Stanley

Post season tournament action found Roncalli losing a close Sectional Final to Perry Meridian (2-3). Heritage Christian lost their Sectional Final to Cathedral (0-5). Guerin Catholic lost to perennial State power Carmel (1-4) in their opening Sectional match. Bishop Chatard defeated North Central (3-2) to win their first ever Sectional title! Brebeuf Jesuit bested Park Tudor (5-0) to win their Sectional Championship! Bishop Chatard lost their Regional Semi-Final (2-3) to Cathedral. Brebeuf Jesuit outlasted Carmel in their Regional Semi-Final (3-2) and then dispatched Parke Heritage (5-0) for their Regional Championship! The Braves then cruised through the Semi-State & State Semi-Final levels going into the Team State Championship match! Playing Center Grove, the Braves bettered the Trojans (3-2) to WIN their first boys Tennis State Title since 1973!! Congrats to the Braves and Coach Brandon Gill!
