Boys Volleyball – Spring 2025
Roncalli, coached by Nick Jennings, won the Boys Volleyball Conference Championship by sweeping the regular season match-ups with our Conference members. Bishop Chatard, Brebeuf Jesuit & Guerin Catholic tied for runner-up. All Conference players chosen by the member school head coaches include:
Bishop Chatard – Maddox & Pierson Wynk
Brebeuf Jesuit – Mikey Millikan
Guerin Catholic – AJ Bauer
Heritage Christian – Ben Bauer
Roncalli – Eli Berger, Matthew Dial, Aiden Hill & Xavier Lawrie
Post season tournament action found Heritage Christian losing in the their Sectional Final (0-3) to Cathedral. Guerin Catholic played in the Fishers Sectional and beat Noblesville & Peru before losing in the Sectional Final to Fishers. Bishop Chatard & Brebeuf Jesuit played their Sectional at Pike. The Braves defeated MTI & University in the early rounds. The Trojans defeated Pike, Park Tudor & North Central in their early rounds; and then bettered Brebeuf Jesuit (3-0) for the Sectional Championship. The Trojans advanced to the Regional and beat Herron in the early round, but lost to Cathedral in the Regional Championship. Roncalli won their Sectional & Regional in dominating fashion. In the State Semi-Finals the Royals played a nail-biting match with Fishers winning (3-2) and 16-14 in the 5th set! The Royals then advanced to the State Championship game against Cathedral and swept the Irish (3-0)! This is the first IHSAA sanctioned State Championship in Boys Volleyball!! Congrats to the Royals and Coach Nick Jennings!
