CCC – Roncalli struck first, roughly 16 minutes into the first half, when Vince Agramonte stole a pass from the keeper and banged it home for the game’s first score. Brebeuf had several chances to knot it at one in the first half, once hitting the crossbar and them immediately being thwarted by a nice save by Daniel Woodruff.
It did not take the Braves long in the second half to get going. Mitch Amastutz blasted in a penalty kick five minutes into the period. This was followed up five minutes later when Alec Bevelhimer rebounded a free kick. Bevelhimer added one more on for good measure in the final seconds of the contest.
The Braves won 3-1 and earned their second consecutive conference championship. The victory moves them to 11-1 all-time in the conference. Combined with the girls’ record, Brebeuf Jesuit is 23-1 in soccer in the Circle City Conference.
