Brebeuf Jesuit – Wednesday’s game against Bishop Chatard Trojans was a heartbreaker for Brebeuf, as they lost the lead in the fourth inning. The Braves lost despite out-hitting the Trojans ten to six. The game was shortened to six innings due to darkness. Mitchell Ayers was the winning pitcher for Bishop Chatard. He allowed seven hits and four runs over three and a third innings, striking out four. Andrew Sowinski threw two and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen. Sowinski recorded the last eight outs to earn the save. Shane Bauer took the loss. He allowed four hits and five runs over four innings, striking out three. The Braves launched one home run on the day. Grant Fahrlander had a homer in the second inning. Brebeuf tallied ten hits in the game. Jack Moroknek, Bauer, and Andrew Pickett all managed multiple hits for Brebeuf. Moroknek led the Braves with three hits in three at bats.
Bishop Chatard – Good Team Win. The Trojans come back from a 3-0 deficit to win. Andrew Sowinski picked up the win in relief of Mitchell Ayers. The Trojan offense was led by Jack Phelps with 3 hits and Leo Dilts with 2 hits.
