A Look Ahead at Volleyball Sectionals and XC/GS Regionals

Volleyball Sectionals begin on Thursday night. Bishop Chatard travels to Cardinal Ritter to take on Broad Ripple at 5. Heritage Christian will host Park Tudor at 6. Brebeuf Jesuit will also travel to Cardinal Ritter to face their hosts at 7. Guerin Catholic received a bye and will play at Cardinal Ritter on Saturday at 10:00 am. Roncalli also received a bye and will face Pike on Saturday at Decatur Central at 1.
In Friday night football action, Roncalli and Guerin Catholic will square off in the final Circle City Conference regular season match up of the fall. Roncalli will be coming off of their first loss in 23 games, a 49-45 thriller at Decatur Central. Guerin Catholic rebounded from their lost against Brebeuf the week before with a 49-0 hammering of Bowman Academy last week.

Saturday brings with it Cross Country Regional Championships. Sectional Champion Katherine Modrall and Christian Stevens will lead their Brebeuf squads into Noblesville. They will be joined by a host of Guerin Catholic, Heritage Christian, and Bishop Chatard runners. Sectional Champion Nick Perkins will lead the Rebels into Rushville in search of semi-state birth and trip to Shelbyville. At both locations, the boys are slated for a 10:30 start with the girls taking the line at 11:15.
The Bishop Chatard Trojans will head to New Palestine for a 10:00 am date with the Danville Warriors in the first round of their soccer Regional on Saturday morning. The Guerin Catholic Golden Eagels Women’s Soccer team will face Plainfield at Zionsville at noon. Both Regional Championship games are scheduled for 7 pm.
