CCC: Conference of Champions

After an incredible 2021-22 season the Circle City Conference not only had some incredible performances in the conference but managed to win nine team state championships and six IHSAA titles which are the most of any conference in Indiana. This is not only the most in Indiana this year but the most championships by the conference since it was formed.

The year got off to a strong start with four state titles in the fall. Three from Brebeuf in boys soccer, volleyball and boys cross country with Heritage Christian adding a girls soccer state title. Following that we had both Guerin Catholic and Heritage Christian sweep the 1A and 2A girls lacrosse state titles and Roncalli boys volleyball all earlier this spring.

This week Roncalli finished a perfect season as one of the top teams in the nation with a dominating 18-0 win in the state championship to win back-to-back titles. Then Guerin boys golf brought home their first state championship and brought the conference to a state-best six IHSAA state champions and nine overall.

The conference also had several state runners-up and individual titles to add to those in what was a memorable year. Congrats to all of the athletes, coaches and teams on an incredible season and continuing to make this conference great not just off the field but on it.
